What is the role of CCSVI Venous Hypertension and proper/improved Cerebrospinal Blood flow?? #CCSVI #BloodFlowMatters CCSVI is definitely one of the causes of MS. The novelty for some years is that we are certain that, after studying at the La Sapienza University of Rome, there are 3 types of CCSVI: * a 1 type with patients suffering from an obstacle to the endovacular venous discharge, i.e. due to congenital or acquired anomalies that restrict and block the drainage of the investigated veins (jugular, vertebral, azygos) * a 2nd type with patients suffering from an extra-vascular venous obstruction, i.e. due to external compression of the vessel * a 3 type with patients suffering from endo-vacular and extra-vascular venous obstruction So to simplify we can say that there is a CCSVI of the "hydraulic" type (1 type), a CCSVI of the "mechanical" type (2 type) and a "mixed" CCSVI of the two previous types (3 type), the 2 and the 3 type represent about 85% of cases. A patient with type 1 CCSVI will have a greater indication for angioplasty treatment, a patient with type 2 CCSVI will have a specific indication for specific physiotherapy decompressive treatment (RIMA Method), a patient with type 3 CCSVI it will have an indication for both an endo-vascular dilatation treatment and an extra-vascular decompression treatment. Ischemia is a reduction of oxygen-rich blood supply to the heart muscle. Silent ischemia occurs when the heart temporarily doesn’t receive enough blood (and thus oxygen), but the person with the oxygen-deprivation doesn’t notice any effects. Silent ischemia is related to angina, which is a reduction of oxygen-rich blood in the heart that causes chest pain and other related symptoms ... # Most silent ischemia occurs when one or more coronary arteries are narrowed by plaque. It can also occur when the heart is forced to work harder than normal. People who have diabetes or who have had a heart attack are most likely to develop silent ischemia .. ---------------------------------------------- # Risk factors : - People who are at risk for heart disease and angina are also at risk for silent ischemia. Risk factors include : use 1- Diabetes 2- High blood cholesterol 3- High blood pressure 4- A family history of heart disease 5- Age (after age 45 for men and age 55 for women, risk increases) 6- A sedentary lifestyle 7- Obesity 8- Unmanaged stress -------------------------------------------- # To reduce your risk for silent ischemia, you should reduce your risk for heart disease in general. Here are some things you can do : 1- Stop using tobacco of all kinds - including chewing and smoking tobacco and inhaling significant secondhand smoke . 2- Prevent diabetes or manage it if you have it . 3- Prevent or manage high blood pressure . 4- Prevent or treat high blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels . 5- Exercise regularly (talk to your doctor about what type of exercise is right for you) . 6- If you’re overweight, lose weight; maintain a healthy weight . 7- Eat a heart-healthy diet . 8- Take steps to reduce stress in your life, and learn how to manage stress . 9- See your doctor regularly, have recommended heart screenings, and follow your doctor’s instructions . ------------------------------------------------------ By : Kareem Blinder Reference : www.beaumont.org/conditions/silent-ischemia --------------------------------------------------------------- #coachblinder #blinderpathology #anatomyandphysiology #diabetes #ischemia #سبحانك_لا_علم_لنا_الا_ما_علمتنا

I was only diagnosed a few months ago this year myself. I have both brain and spinal lesions. I am not on any medication at present but Ocrevus was recommended by the neurologist. I understand you not wanting to take this medication. There is a three fold increase in the rate of cancer in people on Ocrevus. There is also the risk of serious infections and PML. Like you, I am particularly worried about the spinal lesion thing. I will have to go on some sort of medication soon I think, even as I type this I am getting consistent stabbing sensations in my arm and legs, it must be related to the wheat pasta I have been eating. It has all been quite overwhelming.

Aww thank you!! That’s what I’m saying! I remember having an EKG and a few other random tests but not an MRI. I’ll have to check with my neurologist again when I go this summer to confirm if I have any lesions on my brain. When I was diagnosed last year, the focus was on my spine because that’s where I was having the jolts/attacks. If I’m remembering correctly, I haven’t had a brain MRI in a few years.

I wish I had a room to myself! It’s a room with about 6 chairs/recliners in it. I set my appointments for early in the morning so I’m usually one of the first people there, but even when there is another patient or two I try not to film them since I don’t have their consent. I thought that being in a room with other people would make me feel weird but it’s not as bad as I expected. @@JenFindsGemsWhat is the role of CCSVI Venous Hypertension and proper/improved Cerebrospinal Blood flow?? The RIMA Method devised by Dr. Domenico Ricci of Bari is able to release compressed veins throughout their course, as shown by a publication of June 2015 after a one-year study (Internal jugular Venous Compressione Syndrome: hemodynamic outcomes after cervical vertebral decompression manipulations-Pubmed). Hello, from England. Don't be scared and don't be worried. ❤ Listen to your body. Stress can bring on symptoms. Drink water. ( Helps to reduce Spasms) Caffeine and energy drinks too much sugar drys out the Muscles in you're body can make you dehydrated. Can cause (Spasms or pain) Take vitamins like vitamin D,C B complex Cod liver oil Probiotics Iron tablets. ect.... Keep doing exercise to keep your muscles strong. ( Light exercise in your house) If you feel tired, rest. ( Sleep is like a reset in the body.) The drugs they want to put you on are called Anti-Feren. They are meant to prevent having a MS relapse Or slow down, Symptoms. but you can still have a relapse taking them. You can have tablet forms or injections. Depends on what your neurologist suggests. The medication is something you're gonna have to get use to Because it can make you feel like shit Some Give you flu-like symptoms. (Aches pains feeling cold Headache) If you can listen to your body Listen. Nothing has to change Just how you look after you. 🥰 If the medications are not working for you, ask to change it. My first MS Nurse told me to get a notebook to write down things. Just in case I can't remember things or use your phone for notes. Hope everything goes well ❤ stay blessed

I just cut my locs last Tuesday so it’s been a week. I shed a little bit not much. Honestly, I don’t miss my locs yet. I actually love the feel of my hands on my little fro. I also love love the fact that I can run a comb through it; I really missed that. I think I may get locs again. I had traditional locs but now I want sisterlocs. Honestly tho, because locs are more popular, I am rethinking. I know I may sound crazy but anything popular turns me off lbvs. But, for now, I’m loving my short fro. I feel brand new and sexy😄

Hi Jen, thank you for sharing your experiences. How are you doing? I hope all is going well with the Ocrevus treatment. You’re fortunate in the US, that you can find black healthcare specialists. I know I can’t compare our health systems as the UK’s health system is free and is run by the NHS. There are also disparities in the UK health system when it comes to black women especially in pregnancy. I know you don’t want to make your channel about your MS diagnosis but I could relate to what you said about UTI’s. I used to have frequent UTI’s and I was fed up of taking antibiotics, so I decided to go down the natural route to prevent it.

Hi Myrlyn! I’m happy to “see” you again! I’m doing okay! I have noticed a few changes in my skin and level of exhaustion but I’m making lifestyle changes here and there to see if that helps before I attribute it to Ocrevus. How have you been feeling? What natural remedies have helped you? I hate to hear that there are disparities in healthcare in the UK as well, it really makes me think that this is just a global issue that impacts minorities everywhere. There has to be a way to change this, it’s infuriating! In regards to my comment about not wanting to make this an MS channel, I should have said that I’m not ONLY creating content about MS, but I welcome conversations about it. I think it’s important to talk about it and I’m so happy that I’m able to connect with you on a topic that we can both relate to. 🫶🏾🫶🏾

Hi Jen, I’ve set the notifications on your vlogs to ensure that I don’t miss any of your content. Where I mentioned a natural remedy, it’s in reference to UTI’s. I regularly drink Apple cider vinegar with the Mother, adding water as a preventative measure. As any infections can cause MS symptoms. It has worked for me and it has reduced the amount of antibiotics I’ve had to take. Jen, make a note of all the changes you’ve seen since taking Ocrevus and mention it to your doctor. By the way, your facial skin is glowing! To be honest, I’m exhausted all the time but I’m fed up of saying, I’m tired. I’m wondering if I’ll ever feel good again. I’m happy to share my experiences with you. I joined a MS group so I could talk to people who could relate. Support is so important. Take care & take it easy! Michelle (Myrlyn is my mum)
